V/Line Life Training is an educational and motivational program for young people aged 14-18 years. It encourages Victorian youths to ‘Stay True’ to themselves, their values and their goals. Every year more than 20 Life Training sessions are held throughout country Victoria and over six years more than 12,000 teenagers have gone through the program.

The program focuses on life skills that are integral to positive development, such as goal setting, identifying support networks, and most importantly the true impact and consequences of the choices made in life.

In the sessions, young people are also provided with the tools and knowledge needed to make informed decisions when confronted by common societal issues such as youth mental health, body image & self-esteem, bullying, and the implications of alcohol & drug use.

V/Line recognises and values the role it plays in linking regional communities. It is because we are part of country Victoria that we understand how difficult it can be for kids in in these areas to access information and services that support them in understanding and dealing with these issues.
V/Line Life Training aims to bridge this gap!

Our AmbassadorsOur V/Line Life Training Ambassadors are Melbourne Vixen’s Vice-Captain Madison Browne; former AFL Players Cam Mooney, Heath Black and Marcus Drum along with former AFL umpire Stefan Grun.

They bring the sessions to life by telling stories about their own experiences and share advice on how to meet certain challenges commonly faced by young people growing up in the country.
