Want to
learn more about V/Line and what it’s like to work here?
Every
year, we offer work experience placements to students enrolled in year 10 at a Victorian Secondary School. The work experience program at V/Line is for one week.
Work
experience is a great way to find out what it’s like to work in the rail
industry. Work experience at V/Line is also a chance to meet people and find
out more about career options at V/Line.
We offer
work experience in the following areas:
·
engineering
·
infrastructure
– plant and equipment maintenance or signalling and communications
·
safety,
security and environment
·
train station operations
·
human resources
·
information
technology
·
finance and contracts
and procurement
·
media,
marketing and communications
Due to
safety regulations, work experience is not offered in the areas of driving,
conductor crews, train control, shunting and track maintenance.
Request
for work experience placements are subject to managers being able to
accommodate the request and provide supervision for the duration of the
placement without disruptions to business.

step to apply for work experience is to fill out the expression of interest
form and email the form to work.experience@vline.com.au.
