Since the completion of the Regional Fast Rail project, delivery of more than 100 new VLocity trains and record investment into rail infrastructure, a renaissance of train travel has occurred.

To meet current and future challenges that come with booming patronage and record growth in the number of services being delivered projects are now underway to further expand and improve the V/Line, and broader transport network.


North East Rail Revitalisation Project - Is well underway with V/Line driver training to begin in March 2011 on the new standardised tracks.  


Regional Rail Link - A $4.3 billion project which started planning and early works in 2009. When finished will give V/Line trains on the Geelong, Ballarat and Bendigo corridors separate tracks from slower suburban services for the first time.
