Fun4Kids is returning to south west Victoria this July school holidays in what promises to be one of the strongest line-ups ever.
Entering its 14th year, Fun4Kids will this year feature singers Jessica Mauboy and winner of the Channel 7 show The X-Factor Reece Mastin.
The event will also feature 2.5 acres of indoor activities to appeal to children of all ages from sword fighting sessions to bowling, rock climbing and wood work classes.
V/Line Marketing and Stakeholder Relations Manager Paul Matthews said the festival continued to be one of V/Line’s longest running partnerships.
"Partnerships like Fun4Kids help people to not only travel to regional Victoria, but also deliver wider economic benefits as visitors will often stay overnight, eat-out and spend time at other attractions as well."
Fun4Kids Director Luke Cann encouraged visitors to book ahead if travelling.
"There is still accommodation available, however this is one of our busiest times of the year in Warrnambool so plan ahead," he said.
"There is heaps to see and do for the kids and catching a V/Line train can become part of the fun as well."
Using the V/Line Family Traveller ticket means a parent can take up to two children from Geelong to Warrnambool for just $41.80 or $58.20 if travelling from Melbourne.
The 2012 Fun4Kids festival will run from Sunday 1 July to Sunday 8 July.
A shuttle will meet V/Line trains arriving at Warrnambool Station to take parents and children to selected accommodation and events across the city.
V/Line operates three return services every day to and from Warrnambool.
