On 17 June 2009, the Essential Services Commission (ESC) approved a new access arrangement, including an access agreement for the operation of freight trains on the V/Line network.

V/Line’s current standard access prices are:

  • Flagfall rate ($/KM) bulk grain 0, other freight including containers 0.888
  • Variable rate ($/1000 GTK) bulk grain 4.187, other freight including containers 1.669
